Shun Hing Group joins hands with The Bank of Tokyo-Mitsubishi UFJ again to present “Joe Hisaishi in Concert”

Shun Hing Group, a keen supporter of the local arts scene, joins hands with The Bank of Tokyo-Mitsubishi UFJ (MUFG) again to present "Joe Hisaishi in concert" after 8 years. The sponsored concert was held on 4 May 2018 in the Hong Kong Cultural Centre Concert Hall, with the attendance of over 2,000 audiences.

Joe Hisaishi performed three orchestral pieces with Hong Kong Philharmonic Orchestra. The concert highlights were the Hong Kong premiere of The East Land Symphony, mládí for piano and strings and newly arranged Symphonic Suite Castle in the Sky, including the beautiful piano part was played by the Maestro himself, creating an exceptional musical journey through the castle in the sky.

Joe Hisaishi has produced music for 10 Hayao Miyazaki films. He has also collaborated on the music production of nearly 80 films in Japan and abroad. His works have won many awards including the Chinese film Our Time Will Come which won the Best Original Film Score at the 37th Hong Kong Film Awards.

Dr Lui Che Woo, Chairman of K. Wah Group was invited to “Joe Hisaishi in Concert” sponsored by Shun Hing Group and MUFG. Mr David Mong, Chairman and CEO of Shun Hing Group showed deepest appreciation to his presence.
